The 2024 Corvette is offered in six trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT, E-Ray 1LZ, E-Ray 2LZ, and E-Ray 3LZ. The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette has a mid-engine with 490 horsepower and 465 foot-pounds of torque from a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8. The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission provides excellent driver engagement and continuous torque and power through to the wheels. The time between shifts happens in the hundreds of milliseconds and keeps you planted in your GT1 Bucket seats that are both supportive and comfortable. Suspension is handled thanks to a fully independent SLA double wishbone system with forged upper and cast aluminum L-shaped lower control arms dampened with 46mm monotube shocks. The Corvette is available in either coupe or convertible form with a folding hard top. The chief difference, of course, is the automatic drop top, which can be controlled by either the key fob or a button on the dash. It can be lowered at speeds up to 30 mph.
The entry-level base 1LT comes with LED headlights, leather upholstery, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels, a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster, eight-way power-adjustable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a 4G LTE wi-fi hotspot, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, HD and satellite radio, Bluetooth, and 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The 2LT adds heated and cooled seats with power lumbar adjustment, a heated steering wheel, memory for both seats, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, navigation, a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, GM's rear camera mirror, blind-spot monitoring, and wireless charging.
Stepping into the 3LT means you'll be offered optional GT2 racing seats wrapped in extended leather upholstery and synthetic suede-wrapped upper panels. A Performance Data Recorder can take video and report track lap times.
The Z51 performance package is also a must-have as it brings all the best performance-oriented gear to the table. Performance-tuned suspension with threaded spring seats to adjust dampers, bigger brakes, additional cooling, a unique axle ratio, and a performance exhaust. With the dual-mode performance exhaust that is part of the Z51 package, it makes 495 horsepower. The Z51 option also adds an electronic limited-slip rear differential, more aggressive brakes, and summer tires.
The Z06 key differences are, a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V-8 with a flat-plane crankshaft and a dual-overhead-camshaft valvetrain, an incredible 8,600 rpm redline, 670 hp at 8,400 rpm, and 460 lb-ft of torque at 6,300 rpm. Airflow-enhancing model-specific front and rear fascias, a center-mounted quad-tipped exhaust system, a 3.6-inch wider body to accommodate larger tires and side air intakes, standard reconfigurable rear spoiler, front 20-inch and rear 21-inch wheels in a Z06-specific design, available carbon-fiber trim for the interior, steering wheel, and paddle shifters.
The E-Ray hybrid electric model adds an electric motor to the front wheels which increases the power to 655 horsepower. Chevrolet claims the E-Ray can reach 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and can achieve a quarter mile in 10.5 seconds. The Stealth Mode allows the driver to make a quiet entrance using only electric power for 3-4 miles at speeds of up to 45 mph.
